Suunto integration

Last updated: August 13, 2026

What the integration does

COORDINATOR is a coordination workspace with an AI layer that reads across the systems you connect. Connecting Suunto lets that layer see the workouts your watch recorded, so it can answer questions and plan around your real training rather than your intended training.

Once connected, COORDINATOR can:

  • Show your recent Suunto workouts alongside the rest of your workspace.
  • Summarize training load and trends when you ask ("how much did I run this week?").
  • Trigger routines you set up yourself — automations that run when a new workout syncs.

The integration is read-only

COORDINATOR reads workout data from Suunto. It does not write workouts, edit or delete them, change your Suunto settings, or push anything to your watch.

What data we receive

Only what the permissions you grant during authorization cover: workout records and their attributes — activity type, start time, duration, distance, pace, elevation, heart rate, and energy. We do not receive your Suunto password.

Suunto data is used to provide the features above, for you. We do not sell it, we do not share it with other COORDINATOR users, and we do not use it to train AI models. It is handled as sensitive health and fitness information under our Privacy Policy.

Connecting Suunto is opt-in

Nothing is connected by default, and COORDINATOR receives no Suunto data until you explicitly authorize it. You opt in when you want it, you can opt out at any time, and you can reconnect later without penalty. COORDINATOR works without Suunto connected — you just won't see Suunto workouts in it.

Authorization happens on Suunto's own site, through Suunto's OAuth screen. You choose what to grant there, and you can review or revoke it from your Suunto account at any time.

How to connect

  1. Sign in to COORDINATOR.
  2. Go to Settings → Integrations.
  3. Find Suunto under Wearables and select Connect.
  4. You'll be sent to Suunto to sign in and review the permissions COORDINATOR is asking for.
  5. Suunto returns you to COORDINATOR and the Suunto card shows as connected. New workouts flow in from that point on.

To bring in workouts recorded before you connected, use Sync history on the Suunto card. It pulls a window of past workouts and skips anything already imported, so running it more than once is safe.

How to disconnect

You can disconnect at any time, for any reason, without contacting us.

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations.
  2. On the Suunto card, open the menu and select Disconnect, then confirm.

Disconnecting takes effect immediately. COORDINATOR revokes the access it was granted, deletes the stored tokens, stops receiving any further Suunto data, and marks the connection inactive so nothing syncs in the background.

You can also revoke COORDINATOR's access from your Suunto account settings. Revoking there has the same effect — COORDINATOR stops receiving data.

To also delete the Suunto data COORDINATOR already imported, email [email protected] from your account email address and ask us to delete it. See Privacy Policy for the full retention and deletion terms.

Reconnecting

Reconnect whenever you like — the steps are identical to connecting the first time, with no waiting period and no limit on how often you connect and disconnect. Afterwards, use Sync history to backfill anything recorded while you were disconnected.

Common sync issues

A workout hasn't appeared

Your watch has to sync to the Suunto app, and the app to Suunto's servers, before we can see anything. That usually happens when you open the Suunto app with the watch nearby. Confirm the workout is visible in the Suunto app, then use Sync history if it still hasn't arrived.

The watch hasn't synced in days

Check the Suunto app first. If the workout isn't there, the data doesn't exist upstream yet and nothing in COORDINATOR will pull it in.

Older workouts are missing

COORDINATOR only starts receiving workouts from the moment you connect. Use Sync history to backfill.

The same workout appears twice

If your watch pushes to both Suunto and Strava and you've connected both, each reports the workout independently and COORDINATOR records both. We de-duplicate within a provider, not across providers, because two sources describing one session can't be safely assumed identical. Connect whichever single source is more complete if you'd rather avoid the overlap.

"Reconnect required" on the Suunto card

Suunto is no longer accepting COORDINATOR's access, usually because access was revoked in your Suunto account or you changed your Suunto password. Select Disconnect, then Connect again to re-authorize.

Data looks wrong

COORDINATOR shows what Suunto sends. Check the workout in the Suunto app first — if it's wrong there too, correct it there and re-sync. If it's right in Suunto and wrong here, that's a bug on our side; please report it.

Contact support

Email [email protected]. Write from the email address on your COORDINATOR account so we can find it, and include:

  • What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
  • The date and type of the workout involved, and whether it appears in the Suunto app.
  • Which Suunto watch recorded it.

Never send us your Suunto password or login credentials — we will never ask for them.
