WHOOP integration

Last updated: August 13, 2026

What the integration does

COORDINATOR is a coordination workspace with an AI layer that reads across the systems you connect. Connecting WHOOP lets that layer see your strain and recovery — what you spent yesterday, what you have available today — so it can plan training around your actual capacity instead of a fixed schedule.

Once connected, COORDINATOR can:

  • Show your recent recovery, strain, and sleep alongside the rest of your workspace.
  • Answer questions about load and recovery trends ("what's my strain been this week?", "how many days since I was green?").
  • Trigger routines you set up yourself — for example, easing a planned session when recovery comes back low.

The integration is read-only

COORDINATOR reads data from WHOOP. It does not write to your WHOOP account, change your settings, edit or delete records, or add anything to your WHOOP timeline.

What data we receive

Only what the permissions you grant during authorization cover, across three kinds of record:

  • Workouts — activities WHOOP recorded, with their strain, duration, and heart rate data.
  • Sleep — sleep periods with duration, stages, performance, and respiratory rate.
  • Daily summaries — recovery score, resting heart rate, and heart rate variability.

We do not receive your WHOOP password. WHOOP data is used to provide the features above, for you. We do not sell it, we do not share it with other COORDINATOR users, and we do not use it to train AI models. It is handled as sensitive health information under our Privacy Policy.

Connecting WHOOP is opt-in

Nothing is connected by default, and COORDINATOR receives no WHOOP data until you explicitly authorize it. You opt in when you want it, you can opt out at any time, and you can reconnect later without penalty. COORDINATOR works without WHOOP connected — you just won't see WHOOP data in it.

Authorization happens on WHOOP's own site, through WHOOP's OAuth screen. You choose what to grant there, and you can review or revoke it from your WHOOP account at any time.

How to connect

  1. Sign in to COORDINATOR.
  2. Go to Settings → Integrations.
  3. Find WHOOP under Wearables and select Connect.
  4. You'll be sent to WHOOP to sign in and review the permissions COORDINATOR is asking for.
  5. WHOOP returns you to COORDINATOR and the WHOOP card shows as connected. New data flows in from that point on.

To bring in data recorded before you connected, use Sync history on the WHOOP card. It pulls a window of past records and skips anything already imported, so running it more than once is safe.

How to disconnect

You can disconnect at any time, for any reason, without contacting us.

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations.
  2. On the WHOOP card, open the menu and select Disconnect, then confirm.

Disconnecting takes effect immediately. COORDINATOR revokes the access it was granted, deletes the stored tokens, stops receiving any further WHOOP data, and marks the connection inactive so nothing syncs in the background.

You can also revoke COORDINATOR's access from your WHOOP account settings. Revoking there has the same effect — COORDINATOR stops receiving data.

To also delete the WHOOP data COORDINATOR already imported, email [email protected] from your account email address and ask us to delete it. See Privacy Policy for the full retention and deletion terms.

Reconnecting

Reconnect whenever you like — the steps are identical to connecting the first time, with no waiting period and no limit on how often you connect and disconnect. Afterwards, use Sync history to backfill anything recorded while you were disconnected.

Common sync issues

A workout or last night's sleep hasn't appeared

WHOOP processes a record after your strap syncs to the WHOOP app. Until that finishes there is nothing for us to read. Open the WHOOP app, let the strap sync, then use Sync history if it still hasn't arrived.

Recovery or strain changed after it appeared

WHOOP revises records as more data arrives — a late strap sync or an edited sleep can move recovery hours after you first saw it. COORDINATOR takes WHOOP's latest version as the truth, so values shifting slightly is expected.

A workout is logged under the wrong activity type

WHOOP's auto-detection assigns the type. Correct it in the WHOOP app, then run Sync history so we pick up the corrected version.

Older data is missing

COORDINATOR only starts receiving data from the moment you connect. Use Sync history to backfill.

"Reconnect required" on the WHOOP card

WHOOP is no longer accepting COORDINATOR's access, usually because access was revoked in your WHOOP account or you changed your WHOOP password. Select Disconnect, then Connect again to re-authorize.

Data looks wrong

COORDINATOR shows what WHOOP sends. Check the value in the WHOOP app first — if it's wrong there too, the issue is upstream. If it's right in WHOOP and wrong here, that's a bug on our side; please report it.

Contact support

Email [email protected]. Write from the email address on your COORDINATOR account so we can find it, and include:

  • What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
  • The date of the workout or night involved, and whether it appears in the WHOOP app.
  • Roughly when you connected WHOOP, and when you last synced.

Never send us your WHOOP password or login credentials — we will never ask for them.
