Meet your strategist

Your personal COORDINATOR
When you create your account, COORDINATOR sets up your own COORDINATOR, with its own name and picture. It acts as your personal strategist: it knows your goals, reads across the data you connect, and helps you decide what to do next.
To see or change its name and picture, go to Settings → Agent and find Identity.
A strategist doesn't wait to be asked. Once a mission is running, COORDINATOR keeps an eye on the things that affect it and brings you the next move when something changes. It suggests; you decide.
What "always-on" means
"Always-on" means COORDINATOR keeps checking the things your missions depend on, even when you're not in the app. Each thing it keeps an eye on is called a watch.
Some examples of what a watch looks for:
- Training load: a new run or ride on Strava that's harder than planned.
- Recovery: a low recovery or readiness score from WHOOP or Oura the morning of a hard session.
- Schedule changes: a practice moved in a shared document.
- Performance trends: paces or lifts trending up or down over several weeks.
- Outside news: an injury report that affects your fantasy lineup.
When a watch sees a change that matters, COORDINATOR works out what it means for your mission and surfaces it. For example: "Your recovery came back low. I'd swap tomorrow's intervals for an easy 40 minutes. Want me to update the plan?"
What always-on doesn't mean
- It isn't constant. A watch checks on a schedule. By default, watches on connected apps check about every 2 minutes, and watches on websites about every 30 minutes. You can change this.
- It doesn't act behind your back. A watch can lead COORDINATOR to suggest a change or draft one. Anything that leaves the app still needs your approval. See What COORDINATOR does on its own vs. what needs your approval.
- It only sees what you connect. COORDINATOR can't watch a source you haven't connected. See Connections and integrations.
Where watches come from
You don't set up watches by hand. When you start a mission, COORDINATOR decides what it needs to keep an eye on and creates watches for that mission. If you want it to watch something specific, tell it in the mission's chat, for example "keep an eye on my HRV and tell me if it drops."
See what COORDINATOR is watching
Watches belong to missions, so you see them on each mission's page.
- Open the Missions page and select a mission.
- Find the Watching card.
Each row shows what's being watched, how often it's checked, and when it last changed. A paused watch shows Paused. A watch that hit a problem shows Stopped and the reason.
There's no single list of every watch across all your missions. When a mission isn't working or waiting for its next run, the mission's page also shows a summary of what it's watching, such as Watching 3 things….
Control a watch
On a mission's Watching card, open the menu on any row to do the following:
- Pause a watch, or Resume it.
- Try again on a watch that stopped.
- Change how often it checks: Check every 5 min, 15 min, 30 min, or 1 hour.
- Remove the watch. COORDINATOR asks you to confirm before it stops watching.
Pausing or ending the whole mission stops its watches too.
How COORDINATOR reaches you
When a watch turns up something important, COORDINATOR tells you in the mission's Activity timeline and in Notifications, the bell in the app. Select Mark all read to clear it.
To control how much a mission tells you, open the mission's options menu, select Notify me, and choose Off, Important only, or Everything.
