Getting started with COORDINATOR
Last updated: October 7, 2026
What you'll do
This walkthrough takes you from no account to a finished first mission. It covers three things:
- Create your account.
- Connect one integration, so COORDINATOR can see your real data.
- Run your first mission and keep what it makes.
COORDINATOR is free to start, and the Free plan doesn't need a card.
Create your account
- Go to coordinator.co and select Continue on web, or select Log in at the top of the page. New and returning users use the same form.
- Choose how to sign in:
- Continue with Google signs you in with your Google account.
- To use email instead, enter your email address and select Continue. COORDINATOR sends you a 6-digit code. Enter it and select Verify. The code expires after 10 minutes, so if it's late, select Resend code.
- Work through the short welcome questions. COORDINATOR asks what to call you, whether you'll use it for yourself or with others, what best describes you, and how experienced you are with AI. You must agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to continue.
- Select Finish. COORDINATOR takes a moment to set up your own COORDINATOR, including giving it a name and a picture.
The free month offer
If you've never subscribed, COORDINATOR offers you a month of the Base plan for free before you reach the app. That offer needs a card, and it renews at $20 a month unless you cancel.
You don't have to take it. To stay on the Free plan with no card, select Maybe later. You can upgrade at any time from Settings → Billing. For what each plan includes, see Plans explained.
When you're done, you land in the main chat.
Connect one integration
COORDINATOR works with nothing connected, but it's far more useful when it can see what actually happened: last night's sleep, this morning's run, the plan sitting in a Drive folder. Start with the one source you use most.
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Find the source you want, such as Strava, WHOOP, Oura, or Google Drive, open the menu on its row, and select Connect.
- Sign in on the provider's own site and approve access.
- The provider sends you back to COORDINATOR, and the row shows as connected.
For wearables, open the row's menu and select Sync history afterwards to pull in the last 30 days, so your first mission has history to work with.
Every source has its own article with exact steps. See Connections and integrations for the full list.
Run your first mission
A mission is a piece of work COORDINATOR carries out for you, such as building a training block or planning a week. It produces something you keep: a sheet, a doc, or a plan. For the full explanation, see What is a mission?
- In the sidebar, find Missions and select the + button next to it. You can also go to the Missions page and select New mission.
- The chat opens with "I want to start a new mission that" already typed. Finish the sentence with what you want. Be specific about the goal and the deadline. For example: "I want to start a new mission that builds a 12-week half marathon plan for a race on March 8, around my Tuesday and Thursday team practices."
- Send the message. COORDINATOR replies with how it plans to tackle the mission and might ask a question or two, such as what "done" looks like.
- When the plan looks right, reply yes, go, or ready. COORDINATOR starts the mission.
- Select Open mission in the chat to watch it work. The Activity timeline shows each step as it happens.
- When the mission produces its deliverable, review it, then select Save all to Library to keep it.
If COORDINATOR needs something from you along the way, such as an answer or an approval, the mission shows Needs you. Nothing that leaves the app, like an email, happens until you approve it. See What COORDINATOR does on its own vs. what needs your approval.
